Slip is designed to keep its data on your iPhone. It does not require a Slip account, send your app data to servers operated by Slip, sync it to the cloud, sell personal data, or track you across apps or websites.
Data stored on your iPhone
Slip may store onboarding status, app preferences, profiles you configure, active mode and temporary pause status, optional Trusted Locations, and the app selection created through Apple's Screen Time picker and stored in a protected system format.
This data remains on your iPhone. Slip does not send it to servers operated by Slip.
Data we do not collect
Slip does not collect government-issued identification numbers, device serial numbers, credentials, verification codes, message content, financial account details, authentication keys, or personal documents.
Slip does not send a readable list of your selected apps to third parties. Apple manages app selection through its Screen Time APIs.
iOS permissions
With your authorization, Slip uses Screen Time to let you select apps and apply mode settings on your iPhone. You can revoke this authorization in iOS Settings.
Slip may ask iOS to confirm actions such as pausing or ending a mode. Authentication is handled by iOS. Slip does not receive or store biometric data.
Location access is requested only if you choose to configure Trusted Locations. Away Mode can start after iOS confirms that you are outside all saved Trusted Locations and pause when you return to one. Trusted Locations remain on your iPhone, and Slip does not send location data to servers operated by Slip or share it with third parties.
Pause Notice
If you enable Pause Notice, Slip can show a discreet status on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island while a pause is active. The notice does not access app-selection data, profile names, personal data, credentials, message content, or financial information.
Retention, deletion, and permission changes
Local data remains on your iPhone while Slip is installed or until you change the related settings. You can remove Slip's local data by deleting the app.
You can revoke Screen Time, Location, and authentication permissions in iOS Settings. Features that depend on a revoked permission will remain unavailable until you authorize them again.
Sharing and sale
Slip does not sell personal data or share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or tracking networks.
